Frequently asked questions
Is it a monthly subscription?
No. You pay per review: a review is a project with its search, screening, extraction and manuscript. No monthly fees, no lock-in.
What counts as a "record"?
Every record retrieved by your searches and imports. Deduplication does not use extra quota: duplicates are merged before screening. The cap is per review, not per month. And screening a record uses quota only once: rerunning searches or refining the strategy never spends again on what was already screened.
How do the "bonus" records in Pro and Premium work?
Pro and Premium keep Standard's rate per record on their base tier and add bonus records: 500 in Pro (up to 6,500 in total) and 1,000 in Premium (up to 13,000 in total). They are part of your review's normal quota, with no separate conditions.
What if I go over the record limit?
No plan trims results silently: losing a relevant study can change your conclusions. Each plan screens with AI up to its quota, and your project stores records beyond it: up to 3,000 on Free, 6,500 on Standard, 13,000 on Pro and 25,000 on Premium. Records above the quota are marked "not screened · human verification" for you to review. We also warn you before you launch a search that would exceed your limit, so you can refine the strategy. And if you want the AI to screen the excess too, add a +1,000-record pack or upgrade by paying only the difference.
Does the AI decide when to stop screening?
No. It screens every record within your quota, with no exceptions and and it does not rank them by relevance in the hope that you stop early. Other tools prioritise the list and apply a stopping rule; there, the saving depends on cutting early, and the studies you lose leave no trace. Here, what exceeds the quota does not disappear: it is marked "not screened · human verification", it appears in the PRISMA diagram in its own box, and you review it yourself or hand it to the AI by extending the quota.
Can I extend the quota mid-review?
Yes, without repeating work. You can add +1,000-record screening packs (€99 each) or upgrade by paying the difference from what you already paid. Screening picks up right where it was: what was already screened is not spent again, and the decisions you made by hand are kept.
Is the quota shared between projects?
No. The quota belongs to the review that bought it, like a licence per review: each new review picks its plan. The AI window lasts 12 months from purchase; after that your project stays in read-only mode and exporting your work is still free.
Is the manuscript included in the Free plan?
On Free you assemble the manuscript's structure from your real data (the PRISMA 2020 diagram, the evidence table and the references, all generated by the system) and export it. AI-assisted narrative writing (introduction, discussion and the rest of the prose) is on the paid plans.
Do exports cost anything?
No. Exporting your work (records, tables, PRISMA, bibliography and the manuscript draft) is free, always. It is product policy, not a temporary promise.
Can I try it before paying?
Yes, and you can go all the way to the end. The Free plan screens your first 100 records with AI; the rest are marked "human verification needed" for you to review. The later stages (full text, extraction, risk of bias and manuscript) you complete by hand, without AI. That way you go through an entire review, with no card. The paid plans put the AI to work across your whole review and every stage.
