1. Who provides the service
revisia is a service of FIALIA SOLUCIONES INDUSTRIALES, S.L., NIF B85944775, with registered address at calle Ferraz 28, 2.º izquierda, 28008 Madrid and registered in the Registro Mercantil de Madrid, tomo 27.716, folio 134, sección 8, hoja M-499495, inscripción 1. Contact: equipo@revisia.es · +34 917 58 76 75. That email address is the single point of contact for users and authorities, in Spanish and in English, including for reporting content you believe infringes rights (see section 6).
These terms govern the use of the platform. Purchases are also governed by the Purchase terms that you accept before paying. If your organization contracts revisia under its own contract, that contract and its data processing agreement prevail over these terms to the extent they cover the matter. The processing of personal data is explained in the Privacy policy. The contract may be concluded in Spanish or in English, in the language in which you use the platform when you accept it. If you are a professional customer and the two versions differ, the Spanish version applies.
2. The service
revisia helps prepare literature reviews: searching for and importing references, applying criteria, organizing decisions, extracting data, assessing risk of bias and generating drafts and exports. The features and limits of each plan are those shown on the platform and, for paid plans, in the Purchase terms.
3. Artificial intelligence proposes; you decide
revisia uses artificial intelligence systems from third-party providers (see Privacy policy) to propose criteria, screen abstracts, read full texts, extract data and assess risk of bias. We tell you so in the application at each step, and exports indicate which parts were generated with that assistance.
Artificial intelligence is an aid, not an autonomous reviewer nor scientific, academic, clinical, legal or professional advice. Its results may be inaccurate, incomplete or inconsistent and may contain omissions, false positives, false negatives, unsupported text or incorrect citations. We do not guarantee 100% accuracy, completeness or fitness for publication or decision-making. You and your team must review the original sources and verify every decision, data point, calculation, citation and draft before using or publishing it. Methodological and professional responsibility for the review, its conclusions and its publication lies with the human team. This does not exclude revisia's legal liability for the conformity of the service or other non-waivable consumer rights.
Do not use revisia to fabricate, falsify or manipulate data, results, citations or references, and do not present as human work what artificial intelligence generated without having reviewed it. Do not use revisia to generate illegal or harmful content or content that impersonates people: this is required by the usage policies of our artificial intelligence providers (OpenAI and Anthropic). How to cite the version of revisia you worked with is explained in How to cite.
4. Account, age and security
An account belongs to a single person: it may not be shared or resold. You must be at least 18 years old to use revisia. If you act on behalf of an organization, you declare that you are authorized to bind it. You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials safe and notify us if you detect unauthorized access. You are liable for the activity carried out from your account, unless it is not attributable to you. When creating the account you accept these terms by ticking the box and declare that you are at least 18 years old. You can close your account whenever you want, free of charge, as explained in Delete your account (in Spanish).
5. Permitted use
You may not attack, overload or interfere with the service; circumvent limits or controls; access it without authorization; resell accounts; or use bots, scrapers or agents to operate the interface without written permission. Assistive technologies needed for accessibility are permitted.
6. Your content and the documents you upload
You retain all rights you have over your projects, documents and results. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process and display them to you, solely for the purpose of providing, protecting and maintaining the service; it ends when you delete the content or the account. We do not use your content to train models or share it with other users: each document is stored per project.
By uploading or downloading a full-text article you declare that you have lawful access to it (open access, your own or your institution's subscription, or purchase) and that the terms of that access do not prohibit you from using it in a tool like this one. Some publishers prohibit it in their institutional licenses: checking this is your responsibility. revisia itself only retrieves open-access copies declared by public sources. When you delete the project, we delete its documents; from backups, when those expire (section 4 of the Privacy policy). Do not upload identifiable patient or participant data or content that infringes third-party rights.
If you use revisia as a professional or on behalf of an organization, you will hold us harmless against third-party claims arising from the content you upload or from your use of the results. If you are a consumer, you are liable for the content you upload under the terms set by law, and nothing more.
If you believe content hosted on revisia infringes your rights, write to equipo@revisia.es: state what the content is and where it is, which right is infringed, your name and email address, and confirm that you are acting in good faith. We will acknowledge receipt, a person (not an automated system) will decide and, if we remove or block anything, we will explain in writing to the affected person the reason, the facts on which it is based and how they can respond or go to court.
7. Ownership of the platform
revisia's software, design, trademark and own content belong to the provider or its licensors. These terms do not transfer those rights to you. Third-party content remains owned by its holders and subject to its licenses. The texts that artificial intelligence generates for you are yours to the fullest extent permitted by law; we do not claim any rights over them.
8. Your data, your export and switching provider
You can export at any time your references, search strategies, screening decisions with their audit log, extractions, risk-of-bias assessments, tables, manuscript drafts and the PRISMA diagram, in CSV, XLSX, RIS, DOCX, PDF and Markdown, at no cost, including after a plan's artificial intelligence window ends. You keep the full-text documents you uploaded; we do not offer bulk download of documents or of the message history with the assistant. If you decide to leave revisia or move to another tool, export your data and close the account: with no notice period and at no cost. Until the deletion date you can keep exporting. Where your data is and how we protect it is explained in the Privacy policy and in Security.
9. Availability, changes and suspension
We may carry out maintenance, fix bugs and modify features without reducing the features already paid for in a way contrary to law. We will only change these terms or the features due to legal changes, for security reasons, because a provider stops providing a service or to improve the product. If the change reduces your rights or features, we will notify you by email at least 15 days in advance and you may terminate the contract at no cost before it takes effect, with a refund of the part of the price you have not used; in the meantime the previous terms apply. Minor changes or changes required by law are published here with their date.
We do not review the content of projects proactively or with automated systems: we only act upon a notice or a security alert, and a person decides. We may suspend an account for breach, security risk or legal requirement, applying a proportionate measure: we will explain the reason and, unless there is a serious risk, we will give you a period to correct it. In any case we will allow you to export the content where legally and technically possible.
10. Liability
If you are a consumer: we are liable in accordance with the law for the conformity of the service and for damages we cause you. We are not liable for the scientific results of your review or for decisions made without the human verification described in section 3, because the review is yours; we are liable for the tools working as described on the platform and on your plan's purchase screen. You retain your statutory rights in full.
If you are a professional or an institution: to the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, loss of profits, loss of data you have not exported, publication delays, rejections or retractions, or failures of third-party services beyond our control. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you have paid for the affected project. These limits do not apply to willful misconduct, gross negligence, personal injury or anything the law does not allow to be limited.
11. Governing law, jurisdiction and complaints
Spanish law applies. If you are a consumer residing in another country, this choice does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence. If you are a consumer, any dispute will be resolved before the courts of your place of residence; you do not waive that jurisdiction. For professional customers, unless mandatory rules provide otherwise, the courts of the provider's registered address will have jurisdiction. For inquiries or complaints: equipo@revisia.es; you can also go to the consumer affairs bodies of your autonomous community (comunidad autónoma). The European Online Dispute Resolution platform stopped operating in July 2025.
